Shakespeare Workshops
Use our workshops to help introduce your students to Shakespeare, or to help deepen, support, and broaden the work you are already doing in class.
We offer two different workshops:
Shakespeare 101SHAKESPEARE 101
This workshop serves best as an introduction to Shakespeare's language and performance style. Think of it as a crash-course in the basics of how to read, understand, embody, and perform Shakespeare. Topics are taught with interactive activities, and include iambic pentameter, verse, prose, style, and scale, as well as basic stage-craft, such as projection and physicality. |
Scene TuningSCENE-TUNING
For the class that is already in rehearsal, a Teaching Artist will serve as Guest Director and offer notes and feedback to help improve upon the work already in place. This workshop will adjust in accordance to the needs of each group, and is available for all ages. Please contact [email protected] to confirm specific needs and goals. |
